BEYOND WORDS ALUMNI
Amanda graduated from Beyond Words in 2012 and went on to attend Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She studies psychology and business, and hopes to attend graduate school in the United Kingdom. This is Amanda’s second year as a member of the Villanova University Dance Team. She is so happy that dance can still play a major role in her life—and is lucky to be on the team with a fellow Beyond Words alum! As a former member of Beyond Words, Amanda is grateful for the friendships that she made over the years and solid work ethic that she developed through her training.
She would not be the dancer she is today without the support and love she received from Beyond Words.
Andrea graduated from Beyond Words in 2010 and went on to study at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture. After graduating, Andrea went straight to work in the residential field, assisting in the remodeling of homes with a specialty in kitchens. Andrea still plans on going back to school to receive her Masters of Architecture in the fall of 2016.
Dance will always play a role in Andrea’s life, whether that is coming back to take Miss Kate’s master classes or dancing alone in the basement. Andrea was fortunate to work with Expression Dance Studio during her college years as a teacher and choreographer. Currently, she has been choreographing for Music Makers Theatre during their summer and fall productions. Beyond Words has taught Andrea hard work definitely pays off, in all walks of life. Being a part of Beyond Words is something Andrea will never forget.
Upon graduating from Beyond Words in 2013, Cassie has been pursuing a degree in Communication at DePaul University in Chicago. She hopes to work in Public Relations for television or theater.
When she isn’t at school, Cassie is working behind the scenes, serving as Kate’s personal assistant. She loves the new role she gets to play in Beyond Words and everything in between. Cassie is thrilled to be continuing her dance training as a member of The Kate Jablonski Statement.
Beyond Words will always hold a special place in Cassie’s heart not only as a dance family but also as an environment where she was able to enhance her leadership skills and work ethic.
Most importantly, Cassie was (and continues to be) constantly inspired by Miss Kate to “dream big” because the future possibilities are limitless.
Since graduating from Beyond Words in 2013, Ellery has been attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a major in Electrical Engineering. Currently dancing with the Illinettes, the Official Dance Team of the University of Illinois, Ellery is able to perform at all football games, basketball games, and UDA. She is also able to contribute by choreographing dances for the team!
Being a member of Beyond Words has taught her many important life skills including teamwork and a strong work ethic. Most importantly though, Beyond Words allowed Ellery to find her limits, learn how to push them, and never give up.
By always trying her hardest to improve, Beyond Words helped Ellery become a better person inside and out.
Emily is currently a senior at the University of Iowa, and will be graduating in December 2014 with a major in Studio Art, a minor in Global Health, and the fulfilled pre-medical requirements. She hopes to pursue a Masters degree in Public Health beginning next fall.
Although she is no longer dancing, dance has been with Emily through her experience as an art student, and has allowed her to further explore new creative outlets. Beyond Words has taught Emily the importance of perseverance, dedication, and confidence, all of which have guided Emily through undergraduate education and will continue with her forever.
Emily is so grateful that dance was a part of her life. Beyond Words will always hold a special place in her heart.
Emily is currently attending Villanova University and will graduate in the spring of 2015. She is studying chemical engineering with a minor in environmental studies. She has been offered a full time position with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. and will begin working with the company after she graduates.
After Beyond Words, she continued dancing in college with the Villanova Dance Team where they perform at all men’s football and basketball games, as well as attend NDA nationals each year. She misses Beyond Words dearly, but loves supporting them whenever possible and always looks forward to seeing what new things they are doing!
Being a captain of Beyond Words has taught her leadership and perseverance.
Julia was a graduate of Beyond Words in 2013. Since then, she has been attending The College of William and Mary in Virginia as a Kinesiology Major on the Pre-med track with a Chemistry Minor. In the future, she hopes to attend medical school and become a dermatologist.
She continues to keep dance in her life by being a part of the college’s hip hop dance company, The Syndicate, and is also a Barre instructor at the recreation center.
Julia misses her time spent at Beyond Words dearly, but she is forever thankful of not only the extensive dance education it provided her, but the life lessons and dedication it taught her as well. Beyond Words will forever be remembered as a family to her.
Kathleen graduated from Beyond Words in 2012. For two years, Kathleen studied at DePaul University as an Elementary Education major. During those two years she was also a member of The Kate Jablonski Statement, which she felt very lucky to be a part of and continue her dance training with Kate. She also was a part of the Expression Dance Studio faculty, where she taught dance to students ages two-thirteen.
This year Kathleen transferred to Indiana University where she continues to study Elementary Education. She is also currently a part of the Indiana Dance Company, InMotion. She is very grateful that she has the opportunity to continue dancing while at school.
Beyond Words was such an important part of Kathleen’s life. She feels very lucky that she was able to be a member of the company
Between the training, friendships, and memories, Beyond Words is something Kathleen will never forget.
Since graduating from Beyond Words in 2012, Tadas has been studying Computer Science and Engineering at the Ohio State University. Alongside his major, he is also pursuing a Dance minor, which allows him to keep dance in his life. While at OSU, Tadas has been a part of dance films, the Dance Department’s Winter and Spring Concert productions, and other projects. Tadas has also started choreographing and teaching master classes in the area, which has allowed him to discover a new aspect of his dancing.
With these new job and dance opportunities, Tadas has been able to use the leadership and work ethic he learned while dancing with Beyond Words, needed to succeed with these projects.
Aside from work, the most valuable lesson Tadas learned from Miss Kate, is to enjoy life by doing what will make you happy; and for that he is truly thankful.
