Maria is entering her 6th year on Beyond Words. She has trained for 15 years in many genres including ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, lyrical, and contemporary. In addition to her training with Kate Jablonski, Maria has also trained under Mollie Mock Kaufman, Josh Manculich, Meredith Bell, Belle Jessen, and Faubourg School of Ballet’s Watmora Casey.
Maria has had amazing opportunities with BW, including an understudy role as the Cheshire Cat on pointe in Happily Ever After, the iconic Mona Lisa portrait in The Gallery, and as member of the ensemble in Kate’s professional production of Tabula Rasa. Maria has also had the privilege of assisting Kate at various master classes, where she really enjoyed helping teach other dancers. Additional opportunities included performing in pieces choreographed by Teddy Tedholm and Jaci Royal.
Maria is a senior in high school, where she’s on the honor roll and a member of several honor societies, Mock Trial, and Orchesis. She aspires to one day pursue a career in medicine.
Dancing at Beyond Words has allowed Maria to express her tremendous passion for dance, while teaching her life lessons of determination and self-fulfillment. Maria is so grateful to Kate and her teammates for creating an accepting and encouraging environment where she can develop her own unique artistry. Maria would like to thank her parents for their continued support of her commitment to dance, and Kate for her dedication, enthusiasm, and inspiration.
